“A light and breezy blue to charm your first mate” – that’s how OPI describes Sailing & Nail-ing, a creme blue nail polish that I’m going to show you today.

The polish was released for Summer 2016 as a part of the OPI Retro Summer collection together with 5 more colours. I have a mini version of the polish, in a 3.75ml bottle:

The colour was initially created for hot summer beach days, but it’s also ok to wear the polish in cold months because blue is about snow just as much as it’s about sea. Add some stamped snowflakes or white glitter and you’ll get a classic winter holiday nail look. By the way, Suzi called Sailing & Nail-ing an “aristocratic soft blue” :)

I used Sailing & Nail-ing in a skittlette, with 2 more OPIs (white Alpine Snow & metallic Take a Right on Bourbon). Black dots are done with black acrylic paint and a dotting tool. Formula wise the polish is workable, covers in 2-3 coats depending on how thick or thin you apply it, and its drying time is very good. In the pics Sailing & Nail-ing is applied in 3 thin coats, and all nails are topped with a clear top coater.

The polish was kindly sent to me for review by Verbena (OPI Russia).
