OPI Retro Summer 2016: Towel Me About It & SPF XXX

OPI Towel Me About It

Today I have not one but two manicures to show you, both done with OPI Retro Summer 2016 mini set colours.

OPI Towel Me About It

The muted yellow you see in the pics is OPI Towel Me About It (NL R67) which is described by OPI as “a flirty, sunny yellow”. I don’t quite see why the colour is flirty, but it sure is sunny!

The photos show Towel Me About It applied in 3 coats and covered with a coat of EVA fast drying top. The quality is ok for a pale yellow nail polish. I no longer expect wonders from that group of colours, and I’m always ready to layer them till I reach full opacity (usually it’s no less than 3 coats). On the other hand, the yellow is very nice and nail artable (can I say so? lol) Black wavy lines on tips that remind me of water marble, are water decals.

And the second colour is a hot orange-red OPI SPF XXX (NL R69), applied in 2 coats:

The polish is so bright and and perfect for lifting the spirits! I wore it just as it is, with no nail art. In real life it looks a bit more muted than in the pics, I wouldn’t call it a neon. However, the orange red stood nicely against my grey striped sweater :)

The OPI Retro Summer mini set of nail polishes, as well as #OPI OBSESSED and black triangle temporary tattoos were sent to me from OPI Russia (Verbena) for my honest review. To see more photos of the OPU Retro set please, click here.
