I have many OPI colours but only a few of them are 3.75ml mini sized, and I’ve been wanting for a while to compare a mini OPI to a regular sized bottle in a post. So today’s review is for those who’d be interested to see differences between a regular OPI and a mini.
I decided to compare two OPI pinks, a regular bottle of Suzi Nails New Orleans (swatches coming soon) and a mini OPI Flip Flops & Crop Tops. First, let’s see their bottom labels, or better to say a label of the big OPI, because small OPIs don’t have it, just colour codes printed on glass. Not very convenient, especially if you lost the package, but a code is better than nothing.
Now, let’s move on to brushes. The minis have the original OPI Pro Wide brush, which is just a little bit smaller that the regular one. I didn’t have any issues while applying the Flip Flops with its mini brush, it was all the same to me.
The main difference is about their sizes, of course. I weighted both bottles using a kitchen scale and the results are: the mini is 20 grams against the regular’s 65 grams. Little OPIs are only 3.75ml while regular sized bottles give you 15ml of polish. That means you get almost three times less nail polish when you buy a mini version.
So if you just want to try out a bunch of new OPI colours, a mini set could be an option to consider. Also, mini OPIs may be a good idea for those who never make it through an entire 15ml OPI bottle of polish.
By the way, in the pics I have OPI Flip Flops & Crop Tops NL R72 in 3 coats, and the negative space accent is OPI Alpine Snow.
