I love nail wraps almost as much as water decals, and whenever I get a chance to try them I jump at the opportunity.
ThumbsUp wraps I’m showing you today were sent to me from an online Russian beauty store RockNailStar. My pack was the white neon geo nail wraps.
There’re 20 self adhesive nail wraps with 10 sizes in a carton package, the biggest strip being 16x29mm and the smallest strip is only 9x29mm. If your nails aren’t super long, you’ll be able to cut the wraps in half lengthwise to get 2 applications out of one wrap.
As for the application process, I was kind of stumbled/surprised at the very beginning. I thought the nail wraps are white-based, and the plan was to apply them on my naked nails. Silly me! :D I peeled the first wrap off its foil base, saw that it’s transparent aaaand… stuck it back to the base. Then I painted my nails with Essie Blanc, waited till the polish dried completely, and started again with the wraps. That time everything went smoothly and I got a lovely manicure in no time.
Detailed instructions on how to apply ThumbsUp wraps can be found at the back of the package, so I guess there’s no point in sharing application steps here. All I can say is that it’s better to seal the nail wraps with a top coater once you applied them. I wore the wraps without a top and by the end of the day they chipped on two fingers. I don’t know why it happened, probably that was user error. I also think that a coat of a clear top would have prevented the chipping. Next time I use the wraps I’ll do it the right way and seal them properly.
RockNailStar mainly specializes in designing and producing quality nail art stencils of all kinds, so if you need any (or you’d love to try some), here is their shop. They don’t ship internationally, but there some web stores that offer RockNailStar products, please, see the list of resellers here.
I hope you liked the (nail) look :) Thank you for reading!
