Maple Holistics Argan shampoo and Silk 18 conditioner

Today’s post isn’t nail polish related, but I hope it will be interesting for you anyways. In August I was reached by Maple Holistics, a company specializing in natural skin and hair care cosmetics. They kindly offered to send me their shampoo and conditioner of my choice in exchange for my honest review. I decided to accept the offer because we may or may not paint our nails, but we all use shampoos, conditioners or masks on a regular basis, right? :)

They say that beauty comes from within. I try to stick to a balanced diet with plenty of vitamins and minerals (especially calcium), and to drink pure water and green tea. I believe healthy food nurtures my hair, skin and nails from the inside, and it also complements my outer hair/skin/nail care habits.

Now let me tell you about the Argan shampoo and Silk 18 conditioner that I received from Maple Holistics. By the way, funny thing is that I was sure the company is based in Canada because they have a maple leaf in their logo :) Don’t be mislead, they are a US company and their products are made in the US.

The bottles were safely wrapped in the bubble wrap, and there were two cards attached describing the benefits of the products. After reading the cards I got even more excited, wanting to try the shampoo and the conditioner at once :D

When I see a new product I’m always curious what it contains. I took pics of the labels, so you could see it all by yourselves. First comes Argan Shampoo:

Maple Holistics Argan shampoo

The Argan shampoo has a natural yet effective haircare formula that contains six effective oils for hair and scalp, including argan (or Moroccan oil), jojoba, avocado and almond oils. I’m especially excited about almond oil being one of the ingredients, because it does wonders to my hair.

Argan shampoo … offers an abundance of valuable therapeutic effects. Exceptional and revolutionary, Argan shampoo is the perfect choice for those with general scalp types looking to enhance their hair and scalp health.

Let’s see what Maple Holistics Silk 18 conditioner contains:

This is what Maple Holistics says about their Natural Silk 18 conditioner:

Silk18 Conditioner is the end result – an all-in-one conditioner which contains a perfectly balanced synergy of nature’s most efficient conditioning ingredients to maximize moisture retention capacity for silky, flowing hair.

Apart from the natural oils and other useful components I was also pleased with the packaging. The bottles were sealed under the caps to ensure safe shipping:

To open the bottle you need to press on the PRESS sign on the cap (be sure to remove the seal before doing so):

I’ve already tried both the Argan shampoo and the Silk 18 conditioner, and I’m quite happy with the results. I have normal to dry color treated hair. In case you are interested in the color brand, it’s INOA by L’Oréal, sadly I don’t know the exact shades as I trust my hairdresser to choose and mix them.

Maple Holistics natural hair care products are sulfate free and can be used for all hair types, including color treated hair (like mine). After just one wash, my hair felt wonderful with a sleek look and a glamorous natural shine. This is a very good find and I can see myself using the shampoo and conditioner up pretty quickly!

One more thing I’d love to say – my hair may not be super sensitive to shampoos, but my nose definitely is. I dislike strong smells, and I’m glad the Argan Shampoo as well as the Silk 18 conditioner both have nice delicate scents that don’t bother me at all. The shampoo has a light vanilla/honey scent, and the conditioner smells of sweet vanilla. Love! ♥

Last but not least, I’d love to mention EduMuch education project for sponsoring Maple Holistics connection with bloggers.

Thank you for reading, I hope you liked the review! Now me curious, what’s the best shampoo and the best conditioner for your hair type that you’ve found so far? :)

PS: I have one more product from Maple Holistics to show you, but that’ll be with a nail art involved. See you soon!
