Starrily Galaxy

Today I’d love to tell you about a new-to-me nail polish brand Starrily. A while back I was contacted by Starrily’s owner Mawish Ali, she was so kind to offer me a few shades for review. I remember after reading her email I went to check her website… and I instantly fell in love with her glitter polishes!

If I were to describe Ali’s polishes in one sentence, I’d say that Starrily is a perfect mix of crazy colors, unique glitters and playful names. The polishes are 5 free, which means they don’t contain Formaldehyde, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor.

Here’s a pic of Starrily’s standard 15ml bottle:

Names of the polishes are written on the bottom labels. My very first Starrily glitter is called Galaxy:

Starrily Galaxy glitter

Galaxy has loads of glitter of different shapes and colors! There are large stars and small stars, big circle glitters and tiny holo particles, and every shape has many color variations. Personally I liked big light blue circles and yellow stars most of all :)

For the swatches I applied Galaxy over Sally Hansen’s Grey Area which is a dark grey creme with a hint of dusty purple and brown. I also saw Galaxy applied over black and the combo looked good – you cannot go wrong with black base if you are going to wear colourful glitter, right? :) Perhaps a dark blue base will do too, but in that case the blue glitter will be less noticeable. In the pics I have 1 coat of Starrily Galaxy, topped with a clear gloss top.

Starrily polishes can be found on their official website here. Glitters cost $10.00 per 15ml bottle, chromes and holos are around $15-16.

Thank you for looking, and I see you soon as I have many more Starrily polishes to show you! :)

  1. Oh my, normally I’m not into glitters, not at all the larger ones – but this looks super pretty!

Same with me, usually I prefer cremes over glitters, but it seems that Starrily knows how to change my mind loll

Yep, a party in a bottle!

  3. I am not a glitter girl but this does not apply for Starrily – they look great! I hope one day I will be able to check on my nails.

Oh Starrily glitters are worth trying! They are really fun!

  4. Personally I have some “problems” with nail polishes that have big glitters, I never get the glitters where I want them to be :-) So, I choose nail polishes with very small glitters :-) But, this one looks beautiful on your nails :-)

Oh it’s a common problem, I had to reposition a few glitters while painting my nails with Galaxy (using the brush) but it was easy to do :) and I love the result!

  5. lovely glitter, love the stars :D
