Colors by Llarowe The Mighty Red Baron

Today I’d rather let pictures do most of the talking, because the polish I want to show you is seriously very gorgeous!

The Mighty Red Baron belongs to the Spring 2014 collection of Colors by llarowe nail polishes. In the bottle there’s 12 ml of its hypnotising beauty:

The polish is officially described as a “deep vampy red scattered holo”. All the pictures here were taken in daylight, with no sun or artificial lighting, that’s why the holo effect is not that visible. However while wearing the polish, I did see the subtle holography of The Mighty Baron on my nails now and then. I’d say the polish has just a whisper of holo which is enough to keep it interesting in the sun, but subdued for the office.

The Baron’s holography and mesmerizing depth gave my camera a headache. I think I took over 50 photos and only a few of them turned out to be sharp enough, though it wouldn’t be fair to call it a disadvantage of the polish. In real life the Red Baron looks fantastic!

In the pics I have 2 coats of CBL The Mighty Red Baron with a glossy top. Here’s a macro that shows the deep red velvet texture under the clear top:
