It’s been a while since I had a China Glaze nail polish on the blog :) Today I’d love to show you a holiday glitter from this brand:
The glitter polish is called Put a Bow on It #81392. It was a part of the China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze collection of 12 festive colors that were released for Christmas holidays 2013.
Put a Bow on It is a clear based polish with lots of fuchsia micro glitter in it.
If you want to wear the polish on its own, you’ll need at least 3 coats to reach a decent opacity, because the base doesn’t give any color. I’d recommend layering the glitter over a creme, or sponging it to create a sparkling gradient effect.
For the floral nude manicure I applied the glitter using a make up sponge. The sponge soaked most of the clear base and I got an even coverage with lots of glitter where needed, and without any base excess :)
The nude base color here is OPI My Vampire is Buff, and over the glitter gradient I used black floral decals. Also, a coat of a glossy top was needed to seal the decals and to give more shine to the fuchsia glitter.
I got this beauty for review from Beyond Polish beauty store. They have a wide selection of China Glaze colors including all kinds of glitters, holos, cremes and shimmers! Their prices are very good too, most of China Glaze polishes cost $3.50 with free USA shipping on orders over $100 :)
