Like many of my nail polishes, Bleu Nacré was a spontaneous buy. I needed a lip balm, and I thought I’ll stop by Yves Rocher store to see what they have in stock. They didn’t have any lip balms that I liked, but…
I found this 3ml beauty instead:
The bottle is really tiny! If we compare it to a regular OPI, we’ll see that it has only 3ml of polish against OPI’s fair 15ml, while the price of the YR is around $3. I can see only one advantage of such a small bottle – it’ll be enough for no more than 4-5 manicures, so you won’t get bored with the polish :)
Bleu Nacré, or Blue Pearl in English, belongs to Yves Rocher Luminelle Summer collection of nail polishes. It’s a light blue shade with a hardly visible shimmer, hence the “pearly” name. However, I couldn’t see the shimmer on my nails, and for me Bleu Nacré looks like an ordinary baby blue creme.
As beautiful as its color may be, Bleu Nacré goes into a never-will-buy-again group of nail polishes for me. Initially I was going to do swatches of the polish, but the formula turned out to be really bad. There were bold spots and the surface was uneven, so I decided to do a nail art to hide the multiple imperfections.
In the pics I have 3 coats of Yves Rocher Bleu Nacré playing the role of light blue background for a simple circles design. I painted the circles with acrylic paints, and sealed the design with a clear top.
Well, I hope you liked the design :) Thank you for looking!
