Red, white and blue navy accents

Stripe patterns seem to be my go-to nail designs recently when I don’t know what to paint on my nails. I guess it’s mostly because stripes are easy to do using tape or thin brushes, and also because there’re lots of color combinations for stripes nail art. For today’s nail design I went for a navy manicure with 2 bright accent nails.

The polishes I used for the navy nails are:

  • OPI Alpine Snow – white creme
  • OPI on Collins Ave – my favorite red coral nail polish
  • OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay – pare dark blue creme
  • Essie Lapis of Luxury – a bit dusted blue

The stripes are done with the polishes listed above and thin nail art tape. I also top coated the design to even the surface and give it some glossy finish.

Thank you for looking! Have a good weekend :)

  1. I love this manicure, I like all the colours that you use, they match so good and I also like the fact that stripes are different width :-)

Thank you! I painted stripes of different width to add some asymmetry to the manicure which would otherwise had been too “carefully” done :)

  2. I wish I would have the patience for nail art tape! This looks fantastic!

It wasn’t that hard, I did only 4 accent nails :)
