Stripe patterns seem to be my go-to nail designs recently when I don’t know what to paint on my nails. I guess it’s mostly because stripes are easy to do using tape or thin brushes, and also because there’re lots of color combinations for stripes nail art. For today’s nail design I went for a navy manicure with 2 bright accent nails.
The polishes I used for the navy nails are:
- OPI Alpine Snow – white creme
- OPI on Collins Ave – my favorite red coral nail polish
- OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay – pare dark blue creme
- Essie Lapis of Luxury – a bit dusted blue
The stripes are done with the polishes listed above and thin nail art tape. I also top coated the design to even the surface and give it some glossy finish.
Thank you for looking! Have a good weekend :)
I love this manicure, I like all the colours that you use, they match so good and I also like the fact that stripes are different width :-)
Thank you! I painted stripes of different width to add some asymmetry to the manicure which would otherwise had been too “carefully” done :)
I wish I would have the patience for nail art tape! This looks fantastic!
It wasn’t that hard, I did only 4 accent nails :)
Thank you Ina!
What a pretty and quite nautical mani!!
Thank you Maria :)
