It’s that time of the year when trees are blooming here in Saint Petersburg. I took advantage of the beautiful nature change and did some swatches. Today I’d love to show you a bright spring nail polish that is super appropriate for the season – OPI Red Lights Ahead… Where?
The polish comes from the OPI Holland collection for Spring 2012, and as you may have already guessed it’s named after an Amsterdam’s famous tourists attraction – Red Light District. Also, Holland gave the polish letter “H” in its code OPI NL H61:
This coral red is not a unique color in my collection, but I bought it anyways because 1) it was on sale and 2) I love to wear such bright red shades during spring and summer!
Red Lights is very close to my all times favorite OPI on Collins Ave, to be honest I can tell the difference only if I see them next to each other. Red lights seems to have a tiny bit more red, while Collins Ave has more orange in it… After all, a girl cannot have too many red coral nail polishes, right? :)
In the pics you can see 3 thin coats of OPI Red Lights Ahead… Where? over a base, and with a glossy top. The finish is somewhere between creme and jelly.
OPI Red Lights Ahead… Where? is great both on fingers and toes, and the color is quite versatile, so it goes well with many things in my summer wardrobe. Apart from that, Red Lights is a good alternative to a classic red in those times when you want a bright pop of color.
I hope you liked the swatches :) See you soon!
It’s a really beautiful red – gorgeous photos as always!
Thank you Maria :)

Thank you Karen, I’m happy you liked the swatches! I like this red too, as well as it’s (almost) dupe OPI on Collins Ave :)
The cream finish of this polish is so pretty, it won my heart instantly! An you are totally right this is a perfect color for this time of the year!
