I rarely use grey and gold together, but sometimes the combination can workout to be quite nice and be exactly what I need.
The base grey color is Skull & Glossbones from the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection. It’s a light cement grey creme that needs at least 3 coats to be opaque.
To create the golden paisley print I used full-nail-sized water decals. I bought the decals at a local beauty store, together with Skull & Glossbones.
The last “participant” of today’s manicure is a golden glitter OPI All Sparkly and Gold from OPI’s Holiday 2014 collection. I bought it right after the winter holidays, and I’ve been postponing swatching it ever since. Now when it’s almost summer, I finally decided to try the polish to accentuate the gold in the design.
I really like how the paisley decals look against the light grey shade, the pattern is well visible and intricate, but at the same time it’s not too contrasting.
I wonder how the paisley nail decals will look over darker shades… Meanwhile, thank you for looking! See you :)
Those decals are super pretty! Nice combination!
They are :) and also its so easy to use them!
It’s a very elegant look!
Thank you Maria :)
OPI All Sparkly and Gold is beautiful, so sparkly! :-) And the manicure is very elegant! :-)
Sparkly indeed! Thank you dear, I’m glad you liked the holiday polish :)
Quite subtle but nice :)
Yep, the gold pattern is not contrasting against the light grey, its “mission” was only to make the plain base look more interesting :)
nice . ♥♥
