This Fazermint chocolate inspired nail design idea came to me yesterday evening when I was drinking tea with the sweets.
I love Fazer chocolate products since my childhood. These mint chocolate candies are 50% real chocolate and 50% mint cream made out of real peppermint. Nope, I’m not advertising, I just want to tell you what Fazermints are in case you never saw or tried them before :)
The Fazermint design is easily recognizable by its silver packaging with the green logo. To incorporate these 2 colors into a nail design, I “friended” them with a classic purple shimmer by OPI called Purple with a Purpose NL B30:
OPI Purple with a Purpose is one of my favorite purple colors. If I’m not mistaken the polish was released with one of OPI Brights summer collections. This medium purple is one of those what you see is what you get shades, because the color stays true to what you see in the bottle. The shimmer effect is not that strong, but it looks beautiful in the sun. I think Purple with a Purpose is suitable for any season, it’s dark enough for cold months and it’s bright enough for warm sunny weather :)
In the pics I have 3 thin coats of Purple with a Purpose over a base, and with a clear glossy top coat. Usually 2 coats is what I need to get full opacity, but this time I did 3 coats for the swatches.
The silver accent is done with ORLY Dazzle (a silver metallic), and I also added green and purple rhinestones to accentuate the green Fazermint logo, and to match the purple base color respectively.
Thank you for looking! Have a good weekend :)
