In my March round up post I promised to show you I Just Can’t Cope-Acabana by OPI from their Brazilian collection for Spring 2014. I already wore the polish on its own once, and since there are many swatches of the color on other beauty blogs, I thought I’ll do a design instead, using this yellow OPI :)
This yellow was asking for a cheerful spring-summer design, and I couldn’t imagine anything better than an ikat pattern where I combined Cope-Acabana with white and grey.
The white creme here is OPI Alpine Snow, and for the grey I mixed white and black acrylic paints. I think the shade of grey I got is very similar to Rimmel Grey Matter, but I was too lazy to go and look for it in one of my nail polishes boxes. Plus, acrylic colors don’t have that strong nail polish smell :)
There are many tutorials on how to do ikat nails, so I won’t bore you with my descriptions this time. I just say that ikat pattern is a very easy nail design to do, you don’t need to be very careful while painting it, as the lines shouldn’t be precise. All you need is bright colors and good mood :)
I really enjoyed doing this yellow ikat nail design, and I know that the pattern will look great done in lots of bright color combinations. I will try other combos for sure :) Meanwhile, I’d love to thank you for reading :) See you soon!
