One of the reasons I love late spring is that I can start wearing all the bright nail polishes that have been hibernating in my drawer during cold months. Today I was enjoying a vibrant pink OPI Suzi’s Hungary Again!
The color was released last spring with the OPI Euro Centrale collection, that was featuring Europian countries and cities. For some unknown (at least to me) reason OPI associated this pink with Hungary. The color’s official description is “Thank goodness there are zero calories in this warm and yummy pink!”
The “Hungary” bottle and its code (NL E73):
I was surprised how vibrant this pink is. In fact it looked almost neon on my nails making my skin look tanned in certain lighting.
The pics show 3 medium coats of Suzi’s Hungary Again with a fast drying top. I like the color but I cannot say the same about its formula. First of all, in the bottle I can see that the polish has a subtle silver shimmer, but alas, it never showed on my nails :( Secondly, I expected the polish to be less streaky and more pigmented as I read that many girls got full opacity in 2 coats, while I still had to apply the 3rd one to make the color even. Good thing is that the coats dried relatively fast and self-leveled.
Overall, I wouldn’t say that the polish is unique in any way, nor that it’s worth buying if you already have similar pinks in your collection. Also, don’t expect much from the shimmer you see in the bottle…
Thanks for looking! Have a good weekend :)
