St. Patrick’s Day in the Green-wich Village

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day everyone! This year I did a simple green and gold manicure to celebrate the holiday.

St. Patrick's Day green nails

As you may have already guessed from the post’s title I chose a green nail polish OPI Green-wich Village. I took a couple of pics before adding a gold gradient to show you how this green looks on my nails. Here’s the Village in 3 thin coats with a clear fast drying top:

The application on this green was ok but the polish was a bit on the thin side, and I needed some minor clean up.

In the pic below there’s a comparison of Green-wich Village with some of my green nail polishes that I often use, L-R we have:

  • Orly Fresh – a neon semi matte nail polish that is perfect for summer
  • Orly Green Apple – a light green creme
  • OPI Green-wich Village
  • Lumene Awakening – a muted dark green, for me it’s a color of a cold May morning :)
  • Essie Navigate Her – a light dusted green creme

… and here’s OPI Green-wich Village in the bottle with “gold” coins just like it should be in Saint Patrick’s Day :D

I also added gold gradient to the tips of my nails using OPI All Sparkly and Gold that I bought during Christmas holidays.

  1. Great way to beatify a polish – to sponge the tips :) :) I like the base colour, besides, I have a post with a very similar green shade coming up tomorrow ;)

agree :) glitter tips can make any polish look festive :)

  2. This green is way too yellow-toned (swamp like LOL) for me, but it looks great on you, and I love the combination with the tips :)

thank you Maria :) I must say I rarely wear warm toned greens alone, I’m more into cold green polishes :)

  3. Green and gold for me is a perfect match and the OPI green is more than stunning!

Thank you Ina :) I know green and gold nails for St. Patrick is not a unique idea, but it’s a great solution if one doesn’t have time for anything more fancy :D
