Another beauty I got from Dance Legend :) It’s a blue based flake glitter called Sun Still Sleeps:
I did 3 medium coats of Sun Still Sleeps for the pictures above and below. The first 2 coats didn’t give my nails an evenly opaque color, hence the 3rd coat. Three semi transparent layers created some kind of blue glass effect after I added a fairy thick layer of fast drying top. Also, a base is a must, otherwise the polish will stain your nails.
Dance Legend’s Sun Still Sleeps was released in the Candy Flakes collection. It has a mesmerising multichrome type of flakes with a strong color shift from copper red to green and blue.
Sun Still Sleeps comes in a standard 15ml bottle, with a flat semi wide brush. The brush is comfortable, and no clean up was needed :) The formula on the polish is good, it’s densely packed with flakes. I didn’t have to do any prodding or placing flakes – they layered just fine.
I made a little comparison to show you the shade of the blue base. From left to right we have:
- OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook
- Sally Hansen Blue Me Away
- Dance Legend 613 Sun Still Sleeps
- Max Factor Cobalt Blue
If you find this flakie interesting, I’d recommend looking for it (and other shades from the Candy Flakes collection) at the Dance Legend online website. Sun Still Sleeps is for $9, and here is the collection’s page.
Thank you for reading! See you soon ♥

Красивый лак. Хорошо, что вы опять пишите)
Спасибо! Постараюсь войти в прежний ритм :))
Beautiful nail polish, love your photos!
Thank you Natalie! :)
The effect in the flakies is so beautiful!
Oh it really is! Thank you Maria!
Beautiful polish! I love those flakes!
Thank you Ina! The flakes, and its semi glass formula is what makes this blue polish special :)
It’s gorgeous :D I’d use it only as a topper because VNL would drive me crazy but it’s nice :D
Actually, the nail line is not that obvious after 3 coats, and it didn’t bother me at all :) Tho if you want it to be perfectly opaque you can layer it over any blue of similar shade, you are right :)
