Stars and flowers

I’ve been playing with microbeads since the last week, and today I’d love to show you one more nail design I did using the beads.

Japanese nail art with stripes

It’s more like an experiment, I wanted to create a nail look in the popular Japanese nail art style. I think silver star shaped studs would have looked better with the black stars, but I only had circle silver studs, so I used them instead :)

Nails with stars and stripes

The products I needed for my nails with pink stripes and black stars:

  • Sally Hansen #170 Pink Slip (from their Salon Manicure line) – a light sheer pink for the base colour
  • Sinful Colors Cotton Candy – for the pink stripes
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Disco Ball – a sparkling clear based top
  • Black acrylic paint
  • 3D white flowers and black heart shaped rhinestones
  • Silver matte studs
  • Pink micro beads
  • Clear top coat

Ok, I hope you liked the look. It’s not for everyday wear, but I had fun creating it :)) and now me back to work, I wish you all a great week!
Thank you for reading! See you soon xxx

Thank you Ina! Me happy you like the design :)

  2. It’s kind of cute but little over the top for me, I’m not a lover of that Japanese nail art

I guess Japanese nail art differs a lot from what we usually see in Europe. It does look crazily overboard to me too :)) it’s definitely not for everyday wear, but I do like such kinds of nail design :)

  3. Wow, that is super pretty and festive – not good for household chores ;)

Nope, no housework :)) More like for a night out or a themed party :))

Well it’s not very practical, but this is a cute representation of the Hime Gyaru nail. I love the colors you used. This is really pretty with the pearls and stars and studs.

  5. The beads just keep getting smaller and smaller! This is gorgeous! I think I need to play with micro beads! Where did you get them?

Thank you! I bought the microbeads in the local craft shop :)

I love this look. How do you do the white stripes so perfectly?

      Thank you!
I painted my nails white and then I freehand painted the pink stripes using SC Cotton Candy. You can also use tape to do straight lines :)
