I knew I needed this navy blue creme in my collection from the moment I saw the first swatches. I have many blue polishes, but somehow none of them seemed to be a dupe to Keeping Suzi at Bay.
The color NL F57 comes from the new OPI collection – San Francisco, created for Fall/Winter 2013. I paired it with a brown OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know:
Application wise Keeping Suzi at Bay is another OPI perfection. In the pics I have 2 coats of the polish over a clear base, with a fast drying top coat (in the daylight). Naturally, in the sun or in the artificial lighting the polish looks a bit lighter.
For the autumn nail design I used:
- OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay – perfect blue
- OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know – on my pinky – although it was released for Spring, I think it’s much more appropriate for cold months
- Orly Luxe – a cold golden foil polish
Stripes on the accent nails are done with the blue and brown OPI polishes. I painted them freehand using a nail art brush.
I made the pics this morning, and it’s actually the second day I’m enjoying the manicure. As you can see I have no tips wear at all :)
I really liked the promo pics of the OPI San Francisco collection, the atmosphere, the models and the idea, but I cannot say the same about the colors themselves… I do like this gorgeous blue, and I think I could use that caramel brown A-Peirs to Be Tan for nail designs, but the rest of the polishes are not for me.
Thank you for reading! See you soon xxx
