Summer to Fall chevron nails

Today I’d love to show you a manicure that is a mixture of summer and fall colors, topped with a chevron pattern for an accent. It’s an attempt at a smooth transition nail look from summer to fall :)

Chevron nails in blue and coral

I don’t remember posting chevron nail designs here before, so it’s high time for me to try the pattern.

Chevron nail design in teal and white

Chevron patterns are perfect for mixing bright summer colors into a cooler and darker fall/winter palette. For today’s nail look I combined a bright coral with teal, brown and white. Here’s the list of polishes I used:

Sinful Colors Sweet Nothing – a teal nail polish (2 coats)
Lumene Have Fun – a white creme, as the base color for the chevron design
OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know? – it was released for Spring 2012, but personally I feel this brown shimmer fits the best with Fall
Rimmel Cocktail Passion – a bright coral shade from their LycraPRO line

Chevron nail design

The chevron accent pattern is painted freehand with a thin nail art brush over the white base, and I applied 1 coat of a clear fast drying top on all my nails.

That’s it :) I hope you all are having a nice Monday! See you soon xxx
