If you asked me what my favorite nail polish finish is, I’d answer “creme” without hesitation. I only buy shimmers if I really like the color. However, last summer I suddenly realised that I absolutely needed a light pink shimmer. I didn’t know why, I just needed a polish like that. So I went hunting and among many pink shimmers I noticed a polish that I want to show you today – OPI Italian Love Affair:
Italian Love Affair was originally released with the code NL I27 as a part of OPI Italian collection in the distant past of 2001. The shade must have been popular because later the polish made it into the OPI core collection.
Italian Love Affair is a very light, a bit Barbie pink with a hint of shimmer. The shimmer is well noticeable in the bottle, but it’s not that easy to see it on my nails in real life. I think it’s main role is to give depth to the color :)
The pics show 3 rather thick coats of Italian Love Affair over a clear base, with a top. The polish is streaky and the formula is not the best one, even for a pink shimmer. And still, despite the application problems I really like the color. It’s one of those pinks that sit in my nail polish box during cold months, and get a lot of attention in summer :)
Thank you for spending a bit of your time with me today ;) See you soon ♥
