Lilac pirouette

The pirouette in the title refers to a famous silver glitter by OPI called Pirouette My Whistle. I bought it many moons ago, but I’ve never shown it here before. For the base color I chose Sinful Colors Sweet Tooth:

The pics above and below show 3 thin coats of sweet Tooth over Orly Nail Defense base, with a clear fast drying top.

I already wore this lilac once, when I was guest posting for Cristina from the Clockwise Nail Polish, and I remember that time I thought I should pair the polish with some glittering top. Pirouette My Whistle seemed like a perfect solution.

I needed just 1 thin coat of Pirouette to get the subtle glittering effect.

I’ve worn Pirouette My Whistle before, and I can say that it looks equally amazing over dark and light polishes. The silver glitter looks perfect over soft sheer shades (that is how it was launched in 2012 with the OPI NYC Ballet collection), and it also pops lovely against dark colors.

I really enjoyed wearing this combo, and I hope you liked it too!
Thank you for reading, and I see you soon ;)

Yes, I like this lilac color a lot! Sweet Tooth has a lovely micro shimmer, that is almost invisible in real life, but still, it makes the polish a bit more special :)

  4. One of my favorite shades :) It looks so pretty on you! Pirouette my whistle looks so delicate on top of Sweet Tooth!
