Best thing about abstract nails is that you don’t have to give much thought in creating a design. An abstract pattern will also work great if you can’t come up with anything definitive to paint on your nails.
The idea is simple – just pick several nail polishes that compliment each other, paint your nails with a background color of your choice, draw some lines, and then add some colorful little bits and pieces wherever you see they fit.
For the abstract design I chose white background and 3 colors that always go well with each other: blue, grey and black.
The polishes I used for the abstract look:
- OPI Alpine Snow – white creme
- Orly Snowcone – muted blue creme, a very well pigmented one coater
- Rimmel Grey Matter – my bottle is half used already, and the polish is too thick now to paint my nails with :( but it still works for painting small bits in nail art
- Cult Nails Nevermore – perfect black creme
All the lines are hand painted with a nail art brush #0, and the design is sealed with a clear top coat.
I hope you like the abstract nail design. Thank you for reading! xxx
