Shimmer – Jasmine

All Shimmer polishes are dense glitters that can be worn alone, as they can be built to opacity on their own in 2-3 easy coats. However, if you prefer a more casual look for everyday wear, you can use them for layering, accent nails and gradients. For today’s post I layered Shimmer Jasmine over a mint/blue background:

Jasmine is a mostly turquoise glitter in a clear base. There are also dashes of copper, gold, blue and red glitter. Needless to say the polish will look great layered over so many colours!

In case you are wondering, the mint background color is called You Belong to Me and it’s a shade from the old Essence Color and Go line. Unfortunately the polish is discontinued and now I regret I didn’t buy a back up bottle when it was still available :( The mint makes a great combo with Jasmine! I enjoyed the manicure for three days :)

Shimmer Jasmine

Currently there exist over 50 Shimmer glitters of all possible color combinations, and all of them are available for $12 each via their Etsy store.

The closest colour I have is Cult Nails Manipulative, the mint shades are almost the same, but the polishes have different shimmers, in You Belong to Me it’s more delicate.

  5. I love this! :)
