Pink and silver seem to be my go to combo when I want to do a romantic girly nail art. Today is not an exception :) For the pink part I chose a baby pink OPI Mod About You, and a romantic note was played by two bright heart-shaped rhinestones on accent nails.
OPI’s Mod About You is a lovely pastel pink nail polish with cool lilac tones to it. The color reminds me of pink chalk that kids use to draw hopscotches on the asphalt :) On the other hand, the formula is not the best one. No bubbles, but lots of streaks even after the second coat. MAY becomes decently opaque in 3 coats, but to even the surface you might want to add a coat of a clear top, which is exactly what I did for the swatches.
As you can see I’m still playing with the striping tapes I got from the Born Pretty Store. This time I chose a pink tape to decorate the design with. Here’s a close up of my accent nail:
The products I used for the pink nail art with hearts:
- OPI Mod About You – a baby pink base color
- Orly Dazzle – a foil nail polish for silver triangles
- Pink striping tape – can be found in the Born Pretty Store here, the price is $1.90 per 1 roll (with free international shipping), the coupon code MARIX31 gets you an additional 10% off your entire purchase
- Pink heart shaped rhinestones
- Clear top coater
I hope I haven’t bored you with my hearts-bows-glitter nail designs. It’s just that spring has finally come to Saint Petersburg and it feels so great! Today we had +17 C, the snow is all melted and the sun is out. I’m celebrating the long awaited weather change with spring colors and light minded designs :D please, bare with me ^^ I’ll do my best to come to my normal self soon :)
