Although St. Patrick’s Day is not widely celebrated here, I decided to bring a little bit of the luck o’ the Irish to my nails :) I seldom wear green, and to me it’s a great occasion to do a green nail art with clovers.
I started with painting wide and wavy white lines on my nails with regular white nail polish brush, then I painted tips with light green nail polish and waited for the colors to dry. After that I painted thin dark green and light green lines near the cuticles with a thin nail art brush. The accent clover leaves at the tips were also freehand painted with that green nail polish. Last step – 1 coat of a clear top to make my green clover nail design even and shiny :)
The polishes I used:
- Orly Nail Defense – one of my favorite clear bases so far
- Isadora In the Army – dark green creme nail polish, well pigmented and good for freehand painting
- OPI Alpine Snow – no comments here as I’m sure you know this one :)
- Essie Navigate Her – pastel green creme nail polish
- Clear top
Well, I hope you liked my lucky clover nail art :) Thank you for reading, and I wish a happy St. Patrick Day to all of you who celebrate it!
This is a really lovely St Patrick’s Day manicure, very classy and understated, and I love the colours! I had intended to a St Patrick’s Day manicure too but completely forgot, and when I remembered, it was too late! Ah well, next year! :) xx
Thank you Anna! I know what you mean about forgetting and missing the moment – I missed last Halloween nail art like this :)
This is so beautiful, my favorite St. Patrick’s Day design this year!
Hello Judith :) Thank you so much!

Thank you Roxy :)

Thank youu :)
Oh, how cute! Lovely manicure!
Thank you Ina! :)
Your clovers turned out great, I’ve tried but they did’t turn out well
Thank you dear :) Don’t be sad and don’t give up, the key word is that you tried, it means next time you feel like doing clover nails, you’ll have more experience and therefore the design will turn out better ;)
