March 21st.. and it’s freezing outside! It doesn’t feel like spring at all, so let me show you a warm shade that is cozy and suitable for cold months :) The color is called Rainy Streets (Sateiset kadut in Suomi), and it’s from Lumene Gloss and Care nail polish line.
When I first saw the polish, I knew I’d seen that brown already. In a sec I realized that it looked like OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know – the color that I love a lot. I bought this Lumene right away, mostly because it was cheap and beautiful, and also I wanted to do a comparison with the OPI.
And here’s the comparison – on the right you can see OPI Wooden Shoe and on the left there’s Lumene #39 Rainy Streets. Obviously the colors are not dupes, but still they have lots in common.
Lumene Rainy Streets is a shimmery brown that seems to have a slight touch of purple & bronze. In the daylight it’s definitely a milk chocolate brown, in the sunlight it becomes lighter just like many other colors. The shimmer is so delicate that it’s hardly visible to the naked eye, and only certain bright light (like flash or sun lights) can help to catch it.
The application was easy thanks to Lumene’s wide brush rounded at the tip. The pics show 2 rather thick coats of Rainy Streets over a clear base coat. No topcoat applied.
Thank you for reading!
