Blue saran wrap nails with a fimo flower

A quick post with a super quick nail design. Pastel blue and white nail polishes, saran wrap and a fimo clay flower as an accent – easy as pie :)

Blue and white saran wrap nails

The blue base color is Orly Snowcone, one of my favorite baby blue cremes, that comes from Orly Sweet collection released for Spring 2010. White nail polish is Lumene Have Fun – a pure white creme, well pigmented and therefore easy to saran wrap with. The design is sealed with 1 coat of a clear top. While the top was drying and still sticky, I applied a fimo flower on my accent fingernail.

I’m not a big fan of fimo clay decors, because they are quite thick and they make nail surface uneven. I prefer water decals, or even better – freehand painted flowers, but that requires time and time is not something we always have. I made this mani before going to work, and I had to be quick, so I used the 3D flower.

As always, thank you for reading! Have a great weekend ♥

  1. How cute! I agree with you for the most part about how you would rather use a water decal/ free hand flower, but I think that the chunky filmo looks quite cute with this look.

Thank you Karen, I’m glad you liked the flower :)

  2. I know what you mean, I prefer hand painted or water decals too but if there is no time, 3D decorations work very nicely!

a win-win manicure lol Thank you Maria!

  6. This looks like partially cloudy sky I like how Snowcone looks it’s a really pretty blue. As for fimo things I still haven’t tried mine, they are kind of too big so I know they would fall off too quick

I know what you mean :) I seldom use fimo decorations, it’s not my thing.. but I must say, the flower behaved and stayed on my nail all day long :)
