Scarecrow patches

January 17th, 2013 | Posted by Mari in Fantasy | Nail Art Designs

It was supposed to be a swatch of OPI 20 Candles On My Cake, but in the last moment I changed my mind and added grey “patches” to all my nails. So please, don’t take the design seriously,  it was done mostly for fun and a little because there are lots of 20 COMC swatches on other blogs :)

The base color here is OPI 20 Candles On My Cake in 2 coats. I like this off-red shade with a touch of brown. It’s one of those nail polishes, that I wear when I don’t know what to wear :D This OPI is appropriate for almost any occasion and goes well with many types of clothing.

The patches (they remind me of a scarecrow) are done with 2 Sally Hansen nail polishes in Wet Cement and Black Out. Over the design I have 1 coat of a clear top.

I haven’t done this kind of nail design before, but I actually like the idea. The patches were very easy to do, and now I’m thinking of trying some patchwork nail art :)
That’s it for today, thank you for reading ♥
