Pyramid Head nails

This post’s theme is “Inspired by a Movie”… and I must say that I rarely watch films anymore. I do like TV series like Dexter, Californication, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family etc., but to be honest I still prefer xbox to all this. With modern technologies and graphics, the lines between movies and video games are beginning to blur. Games are like movies to me, with the only difference that when playing games you can influence story events, and it’s even more interesting :)
For today I did a nail design inspired by Pyramid Head, one of my favorite characters from Silent Hill games/movies.

The base color here is Sally Hansen Chocolate Nut, that is a dark red/brown shimmer. Over the base I applied green, dark brown, light brown, red, and orange, creating an acid wash effect. After the rusty background was dry to the touch I painted the Silent Hill inspired design (cells, fire and Pyramid Head) using acrylic colors.

The products I used for my Silent Hill nails:

  • Lumene Gloss and Care clear base
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Chocolate Nut for the base color
  • Orly Chocoholic (brown creme)
  • Rimmel Red Riviera (bright red polish)
  • Alessandro Green Genie (green creme)
  • Sally Hansen Sun Kissed (orange jelly/creme)
  • China Glaze Kalahari Kiss (light yellowish beige creme)
  • Acrylic paints
  • Clear top to seal the design

This look is obviously not for everyday wear, more like for Halloween :) Now let me show you Pyramid Head himself, so you could have an idea of how he looks like. Isn’t he cute?! :))

Thank you! I’m not a big fan of Silent Hill movies, but I love the games the movies were based on :)
