Honey nails

Hello! Today I’d love to show you a nail design inspired by one of my favorite books (because it’s Day 24: Inspired by a book). My choice was Winnie the Pooh by Alan Alexander Milne. I’m sure you all heard of the Pooh Bear and his adorable friends :) If I could I would paint all of them on my nails :D but I’m not even close to be that talented, so I decided to go with a simple design honoring something the cute teddy bear loved a lot – honey!
Here they are – my honey nails:

The yellow base color here is Rimmel 60 Seconds in Sunny Days. On its bottle it’s written that the polish is a one coater… and it’s not true. It’s streaky and dries really slow. I waited much longer than 60 seconds for my nails to dry. Maybe they meant that 1 coat dries in a minute, but 1 coat is obviously not enough for the polish, I had to apply 3 coats to get the opaque coverage. The only good thing about Sunny Days is the famous Rimmel flat & wide brush, it’s very comfortable.

For the accent I used a dark brown creme Orly Chocoholic. Honey in the comb is painted with acrylic paints.

That’s it for the “inspired by a book” day :) Now let me leave you with a few lines from Winnie the Pooh and a picture of the little Bear’s paradise :)

“Well,” said Pooh, “what I like best,” and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn’t know what it was called.”
