Flowers in the dark

Hello! Today I’d love to show you a floral nail design that I did about a week ago. As far as I remember, the initial idea was to do a gradient manicure and decorate it with some glitter… While waiting for the gradient to dry, I got distracted by a bright red Zoya nail polish (I wore it last week and forgot to put away in the box), and I thought “what if..?” Here you can see the result of that thought:

Grey gradient nails

The gradient is done with 3 nail polishes: Essence Got a Secret (light grey creme), Essence Movie Star (dark grey creme) and Rimmel Black Pearl (black shimmer). The flowers are painted freehand. I used Zoya Maura for petals, outlined them with Lumene Have Fun and Cult Nails Nevermore. Over the design I have 1 coat of Orly Glosser.

That’s it for today, thank you for reading :) Have a great weekend!

Yes, a lot of details.. but it’s also possible to make the design more wearable – to leave only one flower for the accent and do the plain grey gradient on the rest of the nails :)

  3. I recognize the “What if” thought :D I tend to do it too from time to time! The manicure is simply gorgeous!

hehe “what if” always results in something unpredictable, and in my case not necessarily good :D
