After two weeks of ringing frosts the weather finally went back to the norm cold. It feels great to know that outdoors it’s +2C and not -22C. The weather change was one of the reasons I did a bright red poppy nail art:
The other reason is called Golden Rose Jolly Jewels #110. It was a spontaneous purchase, something that I have a bad habit of doing when it comes to nail polishes :) Here’s a close up of the bottle:
Golden Rose Jolly Jewels #110 is a mix of red and black glitters in a off white jelly base (actually it looks more grey than white). It’s not an easy polish to wear, I tried to apply it solo and I didn’t quite like the result, as it looked rough to me. That’s why I decided to layer it over a grey base. In the pics here you can see 1 thin coat of the glitter over OPI I Vant to Be A-Lone Star.
Back to the poppy design – the black glitter in the polish reminded me of poppy seeds, and the red glitter of poppy flowers. Thats how I got the idea of red poppy accent nails. I painted the flower with OPI You Rock-apulco Red, and for the dark outlines I used OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok fine!
That’s it, I hope you liked my nails with poppy flowers :) Thank you for reading!
Now I’m off to bed, see you next time ♥
