Today’s post is featuring a lilac nude by OPI – My Very First Knockwurst. The color was released with OPI Germany collection for this Fall. I’m sure you’ve seen its swatches, so let me skip that part and show you some nail art instead :)
I started with two coats of OPI My Very First Knockwurst, then I painted nail tips with a dark purple nail polish, waited for it to dry and applied China Glaze CG In the City (a purple glitter) over the dark base. Using a detailed nail art brush I painted flowers and waited again. I was watching Dexter, so the time passed quickly ;)
Next morning I applied a clear top coat and right after that I decorated each flower with a rhinestone. Here’s how the manicure looked without rhinestones:
and again with the bottle of OPI:
Overall, for the purple nail art I needed:
- OPI My Very First Knockwurst – a lilac nude base color (I also used it for flowers)
- Dark purple nail polish
- CG in the City by China Glaze – a purple glitter
- OPI Done Out in Deco – lilac nail polish for flowers
- OPI Pamplona Purple – purple creme for flowers
- Clear top coater
- Pink rhinestones

Thank you Sara :) xxx
This is super pretty, and that nude looks awesome on you!
Yes, I like this OPI too, one of those nudes that are not exactly nudes, but have the same effect :)
Just lovely!!! My Very First Knockwurst is such a lovely nude!
Hello Jamie! It’s a great neutral shade for cold months :)
Your flowers are definitely overshadowing (although nice) base color. I like the complete look :)
Thank you ^^ I thought it’ll be a bit boring to show this color just by itself, it’s been swatched so many times already..
The base color is amazing, the design is amazing.
Simply gorgeous and inspiring!
Thank you, Roxy :) I’m glad you like the design ^^
