OPI Ink Suede with a Christmas tree theme

Hello :) I hope you are not tried of Christmas nail designs yet, because today I’m going to show you one more idea of holiday nails:

The design is very simple and doesn’t attract much attention unlike festive glitters or some detailed nail art. Wearing this manicure is like “No one will ever notice, but I know I have a cute tiny Christmas tree on my nails!”

I’ve seen this geometric Christmas tree pattern several times already, so this lovely idea isn’t mine. Girls usually do it using tape and thin stripes. I painted it freehand, because I didn’t want to wait for the base to get dry. I began with painting a simple silver triangle on my accent nail, and then I added 4 thin stripes of the base color over the triangle. And that was it — a tiny Christmas tree decorated with garlands :) I didn’t top coat it, because it would have ruined the matte (or better to say “suede”) effect of the mani. Here’s a close up:

The base color here is OPI Ink from OPI Suede collection for Fall 2009. I guess the polish doesn’t need introductions, so I’ll spare you from boring details and only say that I love it very much! It’s one of OPI’s masterpieces imo :)

In the pics here you can see 2 coats of OPI Ink Suede over a clear base, without a top, and the Christmas tree was painted with Orly Dazzle 40486. One more picture of the holiday nails:
