Here I am today with another bottle of polish :) The color is called Manipulative and it’s from Cult Nails Divas and Drama collection for Spring 2012.
This is my first polish from Cult Nails, and I think the brand has all the chances to become one of my favorites :) The brush is a bit thin to my liking, but all the rest is perfect. As I see it, Cult Nails has a lot to offer – beautiful colors, creative names, DBP/formaldehyde/toluene/camphor free formula and even the design of the bottle is so very lovely!
I showed 5 bottles of nail polishes – OPI, Orly, Sally Hansen, Chanel and Cult Nails – to my bf and asked him which design he liked better. He pointed at Cult Club and Chanel, and I agree, but then comparing the prices Cult Nails wins for sure :)
Now back to the polish:
Manipulative is a pale blue shimmer with a hint of green. Depending on the light it can look even more green than blue. So for me it’s minty :) The color is smooth and applies really well. On the pics you can see 2 coats of Manipulative with a clear top coat.
This pale minty shade looks great by itself, but it also pairs beautifully with white and black. For my accent finger I used Sally Hansen White On, and over it I painted 2 big dots with Manipulative and 2 hearts with one more shade from Cult Nails called Nevermore.
So overall, for the manicure I needed:
- Lumene Gloss and Care strengthening base coat – I bought it a couple of days ago out of curiosity, and so far I like it
- Cult Nails Manipulative
- Sally Hansen White On
- Cult Nails Nevermore and a detailing nail art brush for 2 hearts
- Orly Glosser – clear top
That’s it, I hope you liked the design :) Now let me wish you a wonderful weekend and a fantastic autumn ahead! As sad as it may sound, the summer is over…
