Hello! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a new week. To start it off I have a fun and bright nail polish to show you – Jackie Oh! from Color Club Poptastic collection for Summer 2011:
To call this shade bright is to say nothing. This super vibrant neon gave my camera a real headache, and the pics you see here were the best ones I could do. I must warn you tho – in real life the polish is much brighter than it looks here in the pics. Well, at least the color itself is true to life.
Another thing about Jackie Oh! is that it slightly changes the color upon application. In the bottle it is neon pink, but on my nails it leans a bit towards coral or even orange.
Jackie Oh! has jelly formula. The 1st coat is quite transparent, but not streaky. VNL disappeares only after 4 thin coats. The polish dries to a matte finish, as many neons do. In the pics I have 4 coats of Color Club Jackie Oh! and a coat of Orly topper over it.
This neon shade has been on my nails for at least 3 times this summer and I really enjoyed wearing it. It’s beautiful and looks great with a tan :) I’ll miss such bright colors in winter…
That’s it for today, thank you for reading xxx
oh 4 coats it’s a lot :/ but it’s a nice neon, every once in a while it’s worth going trough all those coats
Yes, this neon is worth some time and effort, on the nails it looks really interesting :) Actually, the color was pretty bright and solid even after 2 coats, but the nail line was still visible – that’s the only reason I applied 2 more coats..
