A England nail polishes on sale?! I just couldn’t resist the temptation, so here I am – a happy owner of 3 beautiful shades sent to me from the land of tradition, manners and vintage fashion.
The first color is Guinevere:
Guinevere was married to King Arthur and she also had an affair with Sir Lancelot, who was Arthur’s chief knight. It was a well known love triangle in old European tales. This is what I remember from my English literature course.. erm.. not much %) Anyways, it’s a nail polish blog, so let me not bore you with love stories and fairytales. Let’s get down to business (to the polish).
A England Guinevere is described as a “antique pale mauve” shade, and that’s exactly how I see this color. The application was easy, I needed 2 coats for full opacity.
Guinevere seems like a great color to wear in cold months. It’s elegant, calm and quiet. In summer I prefer brighter shades, that’s why I decided to make the manicure more eye catching. For the accent fingers I chose a fishtail nail design, and I painted them with Orly Dazzle (well pigmented silver) and Lumene First Spring (pastel lilac). I finished the design with 1 coat of Orly Glosser.
Overall I like the color a lot, and the quality is also very good. I wore Guinevere for two days without chipping, now I’m looking forward to try the other 2 shades :)
Thank you for reading and see you soon! ♥
I don’t have any A-England polishes (hopefully) yet but this one is gorgeous and I really like your braid on accent nail :)
Never say never ;) I like to try new brands, now when I had a chance to “meet” A-England nail polishes I can say that their quality is really good. Some of the colors may not be that unique, but they look stylish all the same :)
The color is amazing, and the fishtailbraid is pure love!
Thank you, Cassilda, I’m glad you liked the fishtail design :)
It’s a beautiful braid, I love the colors you used!!
Thank you, Maria :)
