Hello :) As much as I’ve loved bright nail colors lately, this morning I felt it was time for something a bit softer and lighter. Here’s my choice for today – a lilac nail polish by Lumene #38:
Since Lumene is a Finnish brand, the color’s original name will be Ensi kevät, and in English the polish is called First Spring.
First Spring is a very tender lilac nail polish, created apparently for spring but suitable for summer as well. It’s opaque enough after 2 generous coats, and it has a nice & shiny cream finish. I find the application to be a bit thick, but that’s made up for by the wonderful pastel color. Here it is a bit closer (all pictures were taken in daylight with no flash):
I love that even though Lumene bottles are smaller than usual (e.g. OPI and Orly), the brush is still relatively wide and easy to use. First Spring‘s bottle and label:
When I first saw the polish, I thought it would be a good addition to my collection of lilac colors. In the pic below you can see First Spring together with OPI Done Out In Deco (ring finger):
It’s not a manicure, just a comparison of two lilac shades. Now I think I need to find 3 more suitable lilac colors to make proper ombre nails :D ..but it’s for some other day, because today I’m wearing the polish plain and simple.
That’s it for today :) Thank you for reading! xxx
It’s so delicate and light, 5 mL is little but for someone who has a big collection it’s just enough :)
yep, it’s 3 times less than OPI’s standard 15 ml, and since I need to apply 2-3 coats each time, it’s really not much.. but the price was ok, I bought this one for about 1,60€
Oh First Spring is a very delicious lilac, love it, thanks for sharing!
thank you, Maria! I hope this lovely lilac color will be a great base for nail art :)
Beautiful color!
Thank you, Sophia! Lumene releases really nice nail polishes now and then :)
