Hello everyone! It’s time for another Nails Of The Day post – of the 18th day to be more exact. The task was to do a half moons manicure. Here’s my version for the Challenge:
The banknote I’m holding is a non circulated one. This note comes from Belarus and it dates back to the year of 2000. Nowadays it’s a collectible item for those who collect paper money. I just happened to have this very banknote and a couple of others for a few days. I don’t collect banknotes, tho I like the idea of collecting money… real money :D
Anyway I don’t want to bore you with non-nail-polish-related stuff :) So here are my half moons nails with OPI:
For the half moon nails I used:
- Pink base – OPI Shorts Story (3 coats)
- Purple half moons – OPI Pamplona Purple
- Silver lines – Orly Dazzle
- Stickers for French tips
- Nail art brush to paint silver lines with
- Clear top coat – Orly Glosser
That’s how it looks from a distance:
Thank you for reading! Have a good day/evening ahead of you xxx
PS: I’ve just recieved a comment from a girl who lives in Belarus, it turned out that the banknote is still in circulation there. Tatyana, thank you for the update! :)
I never liked the half-moon style. Until today. That’s sexy!
I hate crackle-polish too. I bet you could change my mind on that too.
Thank you :) I’m not a big fan of crackle polishes either, I have only one of those – OPI Black Shatter, but I’ll add the idea of crackle design to my “to do” list of manicures :)
I love these colours together! Great post :)
Hello I have tagged you for the Get To Know Me Tag :)
check it out at neverendingnailart.blogspot.com
Very neat mani and interesting combination of colors! Love the silver stripe separating 2 colors.
P.S. yes, the banknote is still at circulation, at least it was this winter when I was in Belarus;)
