Russian Navy is from the OPI Russian collection for Fall/Winter 2007. As far as I know, now it’s a part of the OPI Classic colors and recently it’s been included in the OPI Best of the Best mini set. I have a soft spot for deep blue nail polishes, that’s why I had to buy a full-sized bottle of this truly magical color :)
Russian Navy doesn’t change much on my nails in different lightings. In the daylight it’s a deep royal blue (see the pic above), and in the sun/artificial light it’s possible to see some shimmer particles in pink/purple colors. Here’s a pic I made in the sun, almost the same, but the color is a slightest bit lighter.
The shimmer is more evident in the bottle than it is on my nails but it gives this color the extra bit of depth. Here’s a close up of the shimmer that peaks through the deep navy base:
This time I did two coats of OPI Russian Navy over one coat of OPI natural nails base. The polish ended up being extremely shiny on it’s own, so I didn’t use a top coat. I wore it for two full days without chips.
Ok, this was OPI Russian Navy swatch from Russia with love ;)
Have fun and till next time xxx
When i “grow up” i wanna have nails like you :) ♥.♥
