Another untried shade from my nail polish box – a green cream by Alessandro. It’s a German cosmetics brand, and it’s quite popular here. The color is called Green Genie, and this is how it looks on my nails:
I have a mini version of the polish – a 5 ml bottle, but inspite of its small size, the application is really easy and the brush is good enough as well. I needed 3 thin coats for opaque coverage.
Green Genie is a blue based green. It looks dusty or, better to say, faded, and that’s what I really like about the color :) I’m not the biggest green nail polish fan, but there are some shades that I love, and this is one of them. Somehow the polish reminds me of Jade is the New Black from OPI’s Hong Kong collection. Unfortunately I don’t have that OPI with me to make a comparison swatch. So instead I decided to see how similar it is to Isadora’s In the Army (ring finger):
And a closeup:
It’s obvious they are not dupes, but still they both can be called green and dusty :) Actually I’m glad they are so different, because I’m not that crazy about green nail polishes to have several almost identical colors.
Well, that’s all for today, and tomorrow is the 1st day of spring! I’m thinking of celebrating it with a bright cheerful mani :)
