The name says at all – this deep blue shimmer is really Hard to Resist :) I had to buy it as soon as I saw it on the Essence display at the local cosmetic store.
Hard to Resist is a lovely navy blue polish packed with lots of turquoise shimmer. The color is dark and bright at the same time. Another thing I like about the polish is that it doesn’t look black indoors, and the shimmer is still visible :)
2 coats of Essence Hard to Resist, daylight, indoors:
Applying it, one coat is streaky. I needed 2 coats for the dark blue base to be opaque, but that just means more shimmer and sparkles, right? ;) Drying time was regular.
A few posts back I showed you OPI Russian Navy swatches, and this time I decided to do a little comparison of these two deep blue based shades. They are no dupes in any way, but they do have something in common :)
Essence Hard to Resist + OPI Russian Navy (ring finger):
OPI is obviously darker and its shimmer is finer. Here’s a closeup (in the sun) of Essence’s teal shimmer against OPI’s purple shimmer, which is better seen in the OPI bottle:
Russian Navy looks slightly richer and smarter to me, but maybe because I’m in love with OPI?… :) And still I do like Essence Hard to Resist as well, even more than I knew I would.
Ok, that’s all for today, have a good time xxx
