Canberra’t Without You – OPI NL A51

I already mentioned this nude polish several days ago. That time I wanted to swatch it, but couldn’t open the bottle :( Dennis came home and the problem was solved, but it was too late anyway. So here it is now – Canberra’t Without You from OPI Australia collection for Spring 2007:

I read some reviews on this one, and I see that many beauty bloggers don’t like the polish. They say it’s streaky and not easy to apply. I must say I like this nude shade anyway, I have it for about 2 years and as you can see I used up about half of the polish.

The color of OPI Canberra’t Without You in the bottle, I shaked it to make it look fuller :)

Canberra’t Without You is a lovely nude nail polish with tiny silver flakes scattered throughout. It is quite sheer, and the first 2-3 coats are really streaky, but once you layer the color, it gets opacity. This time I needed 5 coats.

What I don’t quite like about this nude is that the micro glitter looks good only in the bottle, when the silver flecks are stuck to the glass. When applied, they are almost invisible and all covered in sheer polish.
Let me try to show you what I mean:

Like I said, the finish is opaque after 5 or more coats, but streaky if less. That’s why I wouldn’t recommend buying it, if you don’t like layering. Apart from this, it’s a nice nude nail polish, casual and yet sophisticated.
