Vert Abysses by Yves Rocher
December 10th, 2011 | Posted by in Nail Polish SwatchesBack in November, when I made a swatch of Yves Rocher’s Mauve Leger, I mentioned that YR nail polish bottle was quite small, just 5.5 ml
Guess what? Today’s nail polish, Vert Abysses by Yves Rocher is in a 3 ml bottle :)) They are getting smaller and smaller each time I buy them 0_o and now I’m concerned about how long this polish will last, as I really like the color. Just look at this little cute thingy!
YR Vert Abysses with ORLY Sapphire Silk:

Vert Abysses comes from Yves Rocher’s Luminelle limited edition collection “Jardins des Nymphes”, that was created for Summer 2011. It’s a perfect dark blue-based teal cream. The formula is pretty easy to work with, and it’s opaque in just two coats.
2 coats of Vert Abyssess by Yves Rocher:

When I first saw it I thought, “Vert Abysses is the new OPI Ski Teal We Drop!” and I still believe it’s very close to true. Unfortunately this time I don’t have that OPI with me, so I made a comparison swatch of Vert Abysses (middle and little fingers) and ORLY Sapphire Silk (index and ring fingers) instead. I did two coats of each:

They are both gorgeous blue/teal creams. As you can see, YR Vert Abysses is darker and brighter, while Sapphire Silk is a muted teal shade. I like both colors a lot, and ofc Sapphire Silk surely deserves a post all by itself as it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Well, that’s all for today, thanks for reading :)
