Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear – Chocolate Nut

It’s been raining for 3 days in a row here in Saint Petersburg, and I’m beginning to feel kinda trapped inside due to the cold wind and rainy weather. This all makes me sleepy, today I woke up close to 2pm and my first thought was… don’t laugh! – “It’s so late already! How I’m going to do a new swatch?” :))
These short winter days make it tough as there’s very little daylight shooting time available for me. Waking up early has never been my thing and I can’t seem to feel ok if I get up before noon. And what is more, the rain-clouds steal the sun away. So please, bare with me and my swatches :)

Now onto today’s polish – it’s called Chocolate Nut from Sally Hansen’s Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear line. This is how it looks like in daylight when it’s raining outside:

This is one of my old polishes, but it still applies well and very thickly in 2 to 3 coats. In the pic I have 3 coats of Chocolate Nut, and it’s just perfect for total opacity (no top coat). Staying power is ok, it stays on for 3 days without base or top coat.

Chocolate Nut is a dark brown nail polish with red undertones and copper microglitter (or shimmer?). Here I tried to catch the glittering effect:

Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear nail polishes are actually quite good. Apart from a nice formula, they have a good range of colors, great price and most of all, they are on sale everywhere. I have quite a lot of them in my stash, I’ve already had a post about Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Brick Wall, and I have more swatches of these polishes coming soon :)
