I Vant to Be A-Lone Star by OPI

I have yet another grey nail polish that I want to show you :) It’s called I Vant to Be A-Lone Star and it comes from OPI Texas collection that was officially launched on 2 February 2011. The polish was created for Spring/Summer season, but I think its color is great for winter time too, because it reminds me of snow.

I Vant to Be A-Lone Star is a pale grey/blue polish with a silver shimmer. It seems to be the lightest and most muted color in the collection.

Application wise it is easy, as always with OPI polishes, and drying time is ok. The first coat is streaky tho, but the second is much better, and by the third coat it seems pretty opaque. What I don’t like is that the brushstrokes are slightly visible :(

So sad that all of the beautiful pearl silver shimmer vanishes in the shade. After wearing I Vant to Be A-Lone Star for 1 day I decided to put OPI’s Black Shatter over it to see what it will look like.

I tried to wear I Vant to Be A-Lone Star two times already and I still cannot decide whether it looks good on me or not… I really like the color in the bottle, but it didn’t show up as well on my nails :(

I keep saying no to this color because it looks so basic in the bottle but really, I think its a hidden jem. I really like it.
