Pamplona Purple comes from OPI’s Spain collection aka Coleccion de España Fall 2009. The polish got its name from the northern Spanish city of Pamplona. The city is famous throughout the world for the San Fermin festival, in which the running of the bulls is one of the main attractions.
OPI Pamplona Purple NL E50 is a nice medium purple creme with a hint of magenta in it. Purple used to be one my favorite colors for a long time and I still like it a lot, especially this very shade which is neither too bright nor too dark. It’s a nice pop of color that is just perfect for fall. Love it!
The application is easy with OPI’s wide brush. It takes two coats to get the color just like in the bottle. The first coat is streaky, but the second one evens it out. The pics show two coats of OPI Pamplona Purple without a top coater:
It has a nice finish even without a glossy top. Looks good on both fingernails and toes. In the shade the color is a little bit darker, more purple and cool. Even if “officially” it’s a shade for fall/winter time, I think it can be just fine for any season. OPI Pamplona Purple is a nice variation to classic everyday colors without being a vampy one. Really very beautiful!
