You Don’t Know Jacques!.. Now I do :)

October 29th, 2011 | Posted by Mari in Nail Polish Swatches

It is one of two most interesting colors in the OPI France collection for Fall 2008 (the other one is Parlez vous Opi?). You Don’t Know Jacques is a very unique brown/grey taupe shade and it looks true-to-bottle.

Here is the pic of Jacques with OPI’s Mother Road Rose (You don’t know Jacques is on the right):

OPI Nail Polish You don't know Jacques! review

The color of half-melted snow, or dirty slush… on my nails! :)) We have lots of melted snow and street slush in Saint Petersburg in winter and early spring. I know it may sound crazy, but I like the shade never the less… Sometimes they call this nail polish sophisticated, I guess it all depends on how you feel the color.

On the whole You Don’t Know Jacques! is very wearable and great as an everyday unusual neutral polish, especially if you are tired of dark reds and plain greys and looking for something different. There’s no shimmer or depth in it, just a simple creme texture, plus the polish has got a really nice shine.

OPI You Don't Know Jacques! review

OPI’s Jacques applies streaky on the first coat, but fine with two coats, and it dries down to a smooth glossy finish. And of course it has all the attributes that I love about OPI nail polishes — nice wide brush, big3free formula, long wearing & minimal chipping, fast drying even without a top. I had YDKJ on for 3 days and it didnt chip at all :)
